Has anyone been watching the wedding of Lauren Scruggs and Jason Kennedy? They seem like such a wonderful couple and the wedding they have been planning is gorgeous! I love the idea to incorporate pink into their wedding without being too much or too bright for the winter theme they have. It's the Holiday Season!

The Holidays have arrived! It's hard to believe how fast 2014 has gone by. There is so much going on at this time of year that it can be overwhelming. Below is a few different outfits that can be worn for any type of Holiday party that you might have to attend. Whether it's a formal work party or a casual get together adding a bit of sparkle is always a plus in my book!

My travels to Lewes, Delaware

A few weeks ago on a very fall like Sunday my husband and I left our home on the Jersey Shore to take the Cape May Lewes Ferry over to Lewes, Delaware. We had never done this before so we wanted to explore the area. Unfortunately, the shuttle buses do not run to Rehobeth past September 28th so we decided to stay in Lewes to check out the town. We walked about 1 mile from the port into the town. Much to our surprise Lewes was quite cute! Very historic and had great little shops.

Lewes would be a great spot for a destination wedding. It is only 2 hours from DC and Philadelphia and a little over 3 from NYC.

Fall Wedding Trend: Cranberry & Sage

Hello all! It's Fall! I do love Fall but I am sad to say goodbye to the summer. Now that summer is gone the Fall wedding season is upon us. And, a trend I love this year is the cranberry and sage color palette. By incorporating the sage color this make the cranberry color work well for a Fall wedding. Cranberry also can be paired with a gold for a wedding closer to the Holiday season.

Naked Wedding Cakes

Hello all and Happy Thursday! I just recently returned home from a whirlwind mini vacation to Chicago. It is a great city and has such amazing food. Speaking of food what do you think of the new wedding trend this summer, the Naked Wedding Cake? At first I didn't like these cakes. But now they are growing on me. They are kind of cool looking plus they probably taste better. I am not a fan of fondant icing at all which clearly these cakes are not using fondant. Check out a few of these cakes below!

Today is my one year anniversary of Destination Invitation! The process of opening an etsy shop and trying to generate business hasn't always been easy especially in the beginning. But I have learned so much in one year and have loved every minute of it. I thank all of my customers for their loyalty to me and everyone who has supported me on this journey.

Happy Monday all! I hope everyone is having a great summer. I have been very busy with starting a new job and taking care of my beach condo. But no complaints here!

Garden Party Weddings

I absolutely love a good garden party! Now probably most of you haven't been to an authentic garden party in England (neither have I) but I have been to one in Newfoundland, Canada and I can tell you it is quite a treat. There is always an abundance of scones, tea sandwiches, pastries and of course a good cup of tea!
